Mekuru is a pen case for adults that fits neatly into the side pocket of a bag or the breast pocket of a jacket, and can be used smartly to carry just 2-4 of your precious pens.

For those who only carry a select few pens, a slim, small pen case that fits easily in a bag or pocket is perfect.
However, the slimmer the pen case, the harder it is to see what's inside and the harder it is to take out pens. If you can't take out your pens smoothly, it's not smart.
Mekuru is slim yet solves this problem.

The distinctive feature of Mekuru is that the zipper extends to the back side, allowing you to simply flip up the top and take out your pens with minimal effort.
This "turning" sensation is only possible with the luxuriously thick leather of about 2 mm. You can use it for a long time without worrying about the lining wearing out.

The leather pieces are not stitched together, and the zipper acts as a gusset, so there is no wasted space. This comfortable pen case is made of exceptional leather and has just the right size.

Attention to detail

The zipper puller is an original, with the mold custom made by YKK.
The surface has no logo and is a simple design consisting of only straight lines and circles. The holes are perfectly circular, which reduces unnecessary force on the slider and ensures durability.
The brand logo is engraved small on the back of the handle so as not to stand out and ruin the simple design. It also has a convex shape to prevent slipping. When viewed from the side, the tip is thicker, which is the result of our focus on making it easier to hold.
Although it is a very small part, it encapsulates SYRINX's design philosophy.

"Excella" is Japan's proud YKK's highest quality zipper.

Excela

The zipper is YKK's top-of-the-line zipper, Excella, which is used by many high-end brands.
The difference between Excella and regular zippers is that each element is carefully polished to create a highly detailed construction. However, the difference is almost invisible from the outside unless you use a magnifying glass. In fact, you'll be surprised to hear that regular metal zippers move more smoothly. Excella has little play in the interlocking parts, so it may be stiff at first and may feel a bit catching.
So why Excela?
This is because the durability is different. The less precise the zipper, the looser the fit and the smoother the movement, but over time the zipper will come undone and other problems will occur. Excela zippers are made with meticulous care, with each of the teeth (the interlocking metal parts) carefully polished, and are said to be several times more durable than regular zippers. The more you use it, the smoother the movement will become.
Excela is usually used in luxury wallets and is rarely used in pen cases, but since it will be opened and closed many times every day, we focused on ensuring its high quality.

Foggy look

Foschia means mist in Italian. It is made of vegetable tanned oil leather with a white wax finish, giving it an appearance like morning mist. The more you use it, the more transparent the appearance becomes.

The size is satisfactory

I bought it to put one fountain pen and one ballpoint pen in it. I would be happy if there was a divider so they wouldn't hit each other. Right now I'm using it to put one ballpoint pen, a short charging cable, and a portable SSD in it.

Great product

This is a very well thought out product. There are many other companies that offer L-shaped zippered pen cases, but this is the only one where the opening starts from where it wraps around the back. This design is great because you can take out your pens even when the pen case is almost closed. If I were to be greedy, I would like to see a slightly larger version.

Luxurious leather material and simple design

I bought this as a pen case or a PC accessory case to put USB, SD cards, and small cables in. For now, I'm using it to hold the three most expensive pens I use, but because of its simple shape and design, I think it can be used in a variety of ways as long as the size fits.
There is one problem, or rather, an area that needs improvement. When I opened the zipper all the way, I had a lot of trouble trying to put it back (close it). The zipper won't go back unless I do it carefully and take my time. That's what I'm not happy about.

The compact size is just right

I bought a Foschia pen case called Mysty Brick, but the color is very different between the picture and the actual product. I thought it was reddish leather, but it was mostly gray, which was different from what I imagined. That's the only thing I'm disappointed about.

Pros
It may be due to the type of leather or the thickness, but when it bends, it returns to its original shape, but does not return to its original shape. The shape and the position of the zipper also combine to make it return to its original shape vertically, but it remains open to a certain extent horizontally. This makes it difficult to return the zipper to its original state, but if you open it all the way to the end where the zipper is woven, it can be used as a pen tray. You can adjust the zipper to your own style to some extent by how far you open it and how you open it to take out the contents.

Cons
The good thing about this bag is that the fabric of the zipper is completely visible, and there are 2-3 corners where it is folded. The part where the zipper is folded has a beautiful silhouette, but I think it is difficult to gather the fabric because it is angular to match the corners of the leather. I don't mind it much when I use it, and I put a ruler on the back of both sides that is narrower than the width of the gathers, so I can use the space.

It's not that it's good or bad, but I like the texture and color of the leather. At first it had a matte texture like a thick mist, but as it gradually cleared up and became shiny, it was still lightly misty, and the beautiful original pattern of the leather and the scratches and spots that came later really suit my taste. The construction is also full of godliness in the details. As for usability, the overall structure, size, silhouette, and beauty of the material are so ingrained in my life that I can't see any problems with it right away, but since it's reasonably priced, I think there are many aspects that you won't know until you actually hold it in your hands, so I recommend buying it and using it at least once.
